Need your caffeine fix but want to obey social distancing? Tampa Bay Kahwa Coffee locations are now solely offering takeout and delivery options due to coronavirus concerns. Thankfully, many of its locations are available on food delivery apps.
Who knew UberEats would become a savior for foodies across the nation? As the service is offering up free, contactless delivery, customers have a way to support their local businesses within the comfort of their own homes.
The local coffee chain sent out a release to alert customers of the changes due to coronavirus.
"To help with the social distancing recommendations, starting today we will be instituting a take out only service model. We believe this is a proactive step to combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus." That means drive-thru and walk-up counter service, and locations are taking an extra step by offering payment through their app to reduce contact. Kahwa also encourages customers who feel sick or have symptoms to stay home as to secure the safety of their employees.
As a way to help local businesses during this pandemic, Kahwa also offered some alternatives give some love to the coffee joint while staying safe like purchasing coffee off the website (which is offering free shipping until the end of the month), and purchasing gift cards to use as a later date.
"When you support us by purchasing in any way from our stores, gift cards, or online you are helping us employ over 130 workers in your community and helping us weather this storm to be here for many years to come. Thank you for supporting all local businesses during this time and we can’t wait until we can meet for a coffee again soon."
