Popeyes' viral chicken sandwich is back, and it's bringing the masses to a drive-thru near you.

I would know, I waited for my two sandos (classic and spicy) on the first drop (November 3) for 30 minutes, and multiple Tampa Bay locations were sold out by 2 p.m. that same day. Being that these minimum wage getting fast food industry workers are sweating for these sandwiches, Florida-based chain PDQ is stepping up with a free hot meal for all Popeyes employees.

On Wednesday and Thursday, November 6-7, all Popeyes employees with a valid Popeyes name tag or in uniform will receive a free sandwich; with the ability to choose from PDQ's lineup of crispy, grilled of honey butter sandwiches.

“Our chicken friends at Popeyes have spent countless hours serving their chicken sandwich and we want them to relax, take a breather and enjoy the best chicken sandwich in America at PDQ,” Nick Reader, PDQ CEO and co-founder said in a statement. “For the next two days, let’s all forget about the chicken war and give back by showing everyone what People Dedicated to Quality really means.”

Unlike the Popeyes chicken sandwich which is being carried out by the bag, these free PDQ sandos have a limit of one per person and are not available through online ordering or delivery.
