There’s a unique tasting dinner happening in Tampa next week, and its various rum samples might have you taking an Uber home.

Happening on Thursday, April 27 at The Boozy Pig located at 3255 W Cypress St., the Tampa Bay Rum Society hosts a tasting dinner that combines their love of curated spirit offerings with fine dining and rum education.

Guests will learn about the “local pulse of the rum industry in Tampa Bay,” while enjoying an exclusive three-course dinner by Tampa’s beloved Boozy Pig, known for its high-quality meat selection and artisan brunch offerings.

Tickets for a single admission cost $125, while couples and besties can reserve two spots for $230. There are only 30 seats available at next week’s dinner, so we recommend snagging tickets ASAP via eventbrite.com.

The meal kicks off with a grazing board loaded with The Boozy Pig’s finest meats and cheeses, while the first course of mixed greens, heirloom tomatoes, shaved veggies and blue cheese  gives guests a light start to the night. The second course consists of a hearty, bone-in pork chop accompanied by plantain hash, spiced carrot puree and chimichurri. Last but not least, this decadent meal ends on a boozy note with a Cuban-inspired bread pudding topped with a rum caramel sauce and rum butter ice cream.

In addition to dinner and rum tastings, tickets also include a non-alcoholic drink,  access to the event’s raffle, giveaways, and the chance to rub elbows with some of the rum industry’s most notable professionals. According to the Facebook event page, guests are also welcome to bring a bottle of their favorite rum to share with other attendees.
