It's Friday, so I know y'all are checking out The Hall on Franklin later — because who doesn't want to see the Most Interesting Man in the World whip up some cocktails? But here's a roundup of s'more food and drink shindigs to keep you busy throughout the weekend.

Observe the 502nd anniversary of the Bavarian beer purity law, or Reinheitsgebot, which limits the ingredients used in beer production to water, barley and hops. The German Bier Week celebration from Willard's Tap House continues at 4 p.m. Friday with help from Sünner Kölsch and Underberg. Peep the full schedule via the Facebook event page. Free, money for beer. 12500 Starkey Road, Largo, 727-581-8600.

Taste of Science wants to "feed your curiosity." The national, annual multiday festival aims to bridge the gap between what scientists do and how the public perceives what they do. That's why bars and restaurants throughout the Tampa area have been serving as venues for various demos and discussions led by real-life scientists (gasp!) since the fest's April 22 kickoff. On Friday, the talk at 7venth Sun Brewery from 7 to 9 p.m. hones in on the fascinating field of marine science. Get tickets online. $5. 6809 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, 813-231-5900.

Gather 'round Sea Salt's impressive oyster bar — brimming with fresh bivalves from the East and West coasts, plus other parts of the world when available — for the Oysters 101 Class at 11 a.m. Saturday. Participants get schooled on the nuances of oysters while savoring their one-of-a-kind flavors — and, more importantly, learning to shuck like a pro from Kenny Tufo, the restaurant's executive chef and oyster sommelier (cool title, huh?). Tickets include one glass of wine. Space is limited; call for reservations. $44.45. 183 Second Ave. N., St. Petersburg, 727-873-7904.

Also on Saturday, raise a fork to another harvest with Sweetwater Organic Community Farm during the 26th Annual PestoFesto, a family-friendly feast. The spread includes farm-fresh organic pesto pasta and salad, rolls, dessert and juice. Available by donation, a selection of local beer, select wines and organic coffee is also on hand. Outdoor and basil-themed activities, a silent auction, raffle prizes and live music keep guests busy from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are up online$25. 6942 W. Comanche Ave., Tampa, 813-887-4066.

If you know Tampa Bay beer, then you know Rapp Brewing Company. The crew's throwing a 60th Birthday Bash for founder and extremely nice person Greg Rapp on Sunday, and they want you to come join the celebration. And the best part is, you get the gift — half-price drafts between noon and 2 p.m. Free, money for beer. 10930 Endeavor Way, Seminole, 727-544-1752. —Scott Harrell
