Captured with a fisheye lens perspective from behind a counter, two people smile and laugh while enjoying sandwiches—one wearing a light blue sweatshirt and the other in a dark navy "HOCKEY" hoodie. In the foreground, serving trays hold grilled sandwiches and side items, while the background features wooden shelving lined with pantry goods, kitchen supplies, and a person standing near the back doorway under warm indoor venue lighting.

Parking got a little hairy last month after a developer took its grass lot back, but a veritable block party could break out in the Encore! District this weekend.

For the last two years, Late Start Brewing and Mighty Fine have carved out a corner where burgers, the lowkey-goated Southern-meets-Korean fried chicken sandwich, and crispy beers reign supreme.

As they each celebrate their second anniversary on Saturday, Late Start and Mighty Fine are pulling out all the stops.

The brewery, helmed in part by Jordan Copher, promises a slew of limited releases (Hillsborough red ale, dreamberry seltzer, a pumpkin double bullseye, and “katch up” are just part of that lineup).

Fliers also promise baby bologna sandwiches, banana ice box concoctions along with taters, buffalo pickles, smoked wings, rodeo burgers and another burg’ that incorporates a Supernatural doughnut all from the mind of chef Nathan Hardin.

Mighty Fine and Late Start Brewing—located at 1018 E Cass St. in downtown Tampa—open at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 and stay open until 11 p.m.

Just find street parking, or pay your pittance at the Accardi brothers-owned lot across the street.
