Rob Hendrickson's wife Pam worked for years as a personal chef in Virginia. When they moved to Florida, Rob was between consulting projects and they were looking for a way to turn Pam's love of cooking into a business.
Enter Tomato Beach, a locally produced pasta sauce. Pam and Rob found a bottling company in Winter Park, and got to work. Pam developed two varieties of pomodoro sauce.
"Pam is very good at what she does," Rob said of his wife. "She thinks about food morning, noon and night. Tomato Beach is a great way for her to show her passion for food."
Add a little social media buzz and the Hendricksons got a call from the owner at Duckweed Urban Market looking to stock their pasta sauce.
"They are great about supporting local products," Rob said of Duckweed.
