Let us rephrase, Ulele is all about honoring Tampa’s mayors with a signature brew crafted from their own Ulele Spring Brewery.
It has become a tradition.
Former Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn’s Stout is still on tap and continues to be a popular order.
Now, in honor of the newly elected Mayor Jane Castor, the restaurant’s brewmaster Tim Shackton crafted Jane’s American Wheat Lager.
The latest brew on tap is promised to have a yeast-driven citrus flavor with a delicate, silky mouthfeel and soft, malt wheat aftertaste.
Mayor Castor has been busy since late April after being elected into the new position — attending luncheons, setting off one of the largest firework displays the city has ever seen, and now being honored with a namesake brew at one of Tampa’s restaurant hotspots.
The mayor posted the announcement of the new tap on social media to share her excitement, “What an honor and a might fine wheat lager — if I do say so myself! Cheers!”
