This Thanksgiving is set to look very different this year. Whether you’re having virtual gatherings or Friendsgiving with a handful of close loved ones, this pandemic has lasted longer than we ever imagined. While some may be planning on operating business as usual, some aren’t as fortunate to know where their next meal is coming from.

Wanting to lend a hand, Steve’s Pizzeria announced plans to give out free food this Thanksgiving. The pizzeria’s Instagram post reads, “On Thanksgiving day from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. for people who are homeless, who have no family to gather with or just need a helping hand this year, (treatment centers are also welcome) the food is free, take as much as you need.”

Steve’s Pizzeria, formerly known as Hank’s Pizza Kitchen, is located at 8830 N. Himes Ave. in Tampa, and is known for New York-style pies. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating covered with umbrellas.

If you’re looking to get in on the good karma, feel free to message Steve’s Pizza on Instagram (@stevespizzatampa) to set up a time to donate food or money to help feed those looking to have a hot meal, and some company this Thanksgiving.

Other ways to get involved volunteering this holiday season include Meals on Wheels or helping out at Metropolitan Ministries’ Holiday Tent. You can sign-up for either opportunity through either nonprofits’ website.
