When Wendy’s isn’t on Twitter tearing other fast-food chains apart, their giving away free sandwiches.
Wendy’s partnered up with the University of South Florida to give away a free honey butter chicken biscuit to USF fans on every football game day. The only catch is that it’s only free with a purchase of another item. So win or lose, you’ll have a biscuit in your hands as long as you have a dollar or two for some coffee to go along with it. The USF Bulls’ season kicks off this Saturday, Sept. 12 (not Friday). Have a game schedule handy for free eats.
So far this fall, Wendy’s has provided over 5,500 educators throughout Tampa Bay with free Wendy’s breakfast combos, coupons and coffee key tags good for a free hot coffee with purchase through the end of the year.
"Giving back to the communities we serve is a core belief at Wendy's and we're excited many of our Tampa-area restaurants participated in the Meals for Educators program," Kevin Zarcone, Director of Area Operations for The Wendy's Company, wrote in a statement. "We know teachers are facing many challenges this year, and we wanted to express our appreciation the best way we know how, with a high-quality and delicious breakfast."
Basically, “Being forced to face COVID-19 sucks, let’s Bacon-ate your breakfast.”
