The ampersand has become the unofficial mascot of Seminole Heights since Jug & Bottle Dept. opened. To celebrate its four turns around the sun, the shop is having an “Ampersandiversary” featuring exclusive brews from Hidden Springs Ale Works and Brew Bus (the latter whipped up a Birthday Spankins strawberry milkshake IPA, complete with BDSM-themed artwork). Rare Belgian beers will be released and growler fills will be discounted.

To make things even better, vegan kitchen 3 Dot Dash will also sling Kentucky-style chick’n bowls and donate 20% of total sales from the weekend to No More Deaths, a direct action organization in Arizona & New Mexico which provides aid to migrants at the border.

“Essentially the nonprofit provides food, water, & additional help to people facing deadly odds,” 3 Dot Dash co-founder Andrew Seeber wrote in a message to CL. “This is how I prefer to celebrate America. Fuck I.C.E.”
