Another month, another signature Freak Shake from Hall on Franklin‘s Bake’n Babes. Throughout the month of February, the bakery is teaming up with Heart Gallery of Tampa, Inc. to print out five cards featuring children who are currently up for adoption in the Hillsborough County area, which will be presented with purchased Freak Shakes.

“One card has three siblings on it, so eight children total,” Bake’n Babes owner Julie Curry tells CL. The front of the cards say “Send Love” and will be accompanied by a food-themed scratch and sniff valentine.

The mission of the Heart Gallery of Tampa is to raise awareness of Tampa’s waiting foster children, engage the community in their welfare and secure permanent, loving adoptive families.

One card features a young boy named Christian, the card reads, “He looks forward to creating memories with his future adoptive family and needs a family who is willing to pour all their love into him. Christian has been through a lot in his life but is a resilient kid with a lot of love to give and looks forward to meeting his Forever Family.”

February’s “Send Love” Freak Shake is a loaded strawberries and cream milkshake with a jumbo Funfetti cupcake topped with a mini ice cream cone, cotton candy, a heart-shaped lollipop, a candy bracelet and decorative conversation hearts.

“Each guest will get to learn about one child who is currently available for adoption here in Hillsborough County. Sadly we have over 2,500. We hope this sparks conversation amongst the table with guests and bring awareness to this issue,” Curry explains.

Although Bake’n Babes mission is to create awareness on the number of children available for adoption in Hillsborough County, the bakery will also be donated $1 from every shake sold to Heart Gallery of Tampa, Inc.
