Ticket sales for the fifth installment of Tampa Theatre's BeerFest tradition, Hoppy Gilmore, have commenced.
Like the film-inspired celebrations of previous years (including The Big Lebrewski and O Brewer, Where Art Though?), Hoppy Gilmore guests should arrive in over-the-top country club attire, as their favorite character or in another Happy Gilmore-themed outfit.
The spread at Hoppy Gilmore, set for 7 to 10 p.m. June 18, will highlight a curated selection of local craft beer and snacks from top Tampa restaurants. Tangent Brewing, Hidden Springs Ale Works, Ella's Americana Folk Art Cafe, Fodder & Shine, Ichicoro Ramen, Late State Brewing and The Independent Bar and Cafe are among the participants.
Tickets, available online or at the downtown Tampa movie palace's box office, are $70 in advance for the premium sampling (which comes with early access to the tastes at 7 p.m.), while grand sampling admission costs $45. Any leftover tickets will be between $50 and $75 the day of.
Acting as a fundraiser, BeerFest will benefit Tampa Theatre's artistic, educational and community programs, as well as its ongoing preservation and restoration.
