There's been an exciting turn of events for hot local food truck Tostones Inc., which has announced a second location, the concept's first brick-and-mortar. Tostone's Inc.'s truck sits at 6822 W. Waters Ave. serving up empanadas, alcapurria (beef picadillo wrapped in dough made from plantains and deep-fried), loaded fries and of course, tostones served in a variety of ways.
Soon enough Tostone's Inc. will debut its first brick-and-mortar location at 5831 Memorial Hwy. We can suspect that there will be more than the two picnic tables which serve as seating at the food truck offers. But, being that the concept is a hit and is known to sell out, this gives locals another shot to get their tostones fix when the dinner rush hits. Each item on the menu is under $10 and comes in hefty portions.
