Obviously, raw chocolate chip cookie dough — the vegan, gluten-free kind — has been around. At-home recipes are all over the web. But that doesn't mean you should cherish it any less than those newer culinary inventions.
The wonderful lady that leads the charge on our CL-hosted events, Alexis Chamberlain, shared her Hail Merry cookie dough bites with some of us in the office earlier this week (Sprouts Farmers Market carries the vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free morsels), and that stuff is amazing. I've never had vegan cookie dough before, but 10 out of 10. Would definitely eat again.<span and="" coconut="" everything.
(Sidebar: I think Alexis is also the one who introduced me to that "healthy" cookie dough recipe that calls for chickpeas. Ever tried that? She really likes cookie dough, apparently.)
Even better? Tampa-born SoHo Juice Co., which is expanding to Winter Park, has made raw, organic cookie dough a thing for local dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan folks. Both cafe locations in SoHo and St. Petersburg now carry the house-made "Wonder Dough," which comes by the scoop. Placing an order won't come cheap, however, at $4.49 for one scoop and $7.99 for two.
Regardless, if you're a fan of this glorious chocolate chip-speckled treat that's oh-so hard to resist, where else can CL find it locally? Your favorite vegan bakery or restaurant maybe? We're in love — or at least, I am. Let us know in the comments.
