As the smartphone-enabled on-demand alcohol delivery industry continues to gain traction, more apps are appearing to compete with Drizly, which was the first one to activate here in the Tampa Bay area to help whoever might be parched, lazy and/or too inebriated to drive.
To announce its own arrival on the scene, newcomer Klink will be throwing a bit of a low-key land's-end shindig at one of the few beaches in the area that allows alcohol (cans only!) on its sands this Saturday, August 27.
From 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., if you're hanging, bathing and perhaps thirsting at Madeira Beach's Archibald Park, all you've gotta do is download Klink's app (with location enabled) and order up some Coronas or Corona Lights, and they will be delivered to you right there on the shore by boat. It's novel, sure, but it also beats trudging back to your car and having to track down another sixer if you run out of your own beer or didn't bring any and decide you want one.
Also: They'll be cold. Nice and cold.
