Wednesday night has once again become the time that I look forward most to plopping down in front of the TV and actually watching a show live (as opposed to recording it for later viewing). And which show gets this honor? Top Chef All-Stars, of course! The first episode was a great start to what I hope will be a fantastic season (because after season 7 and Just Desserts, our expectations are fairly low).
In this kiddie themed episode, the chefs have to create a snack for 150 kids at the American Museum of Natural History's sleepover for their Quickfire. The guest judge is none other than tween heartthrob Joe Jonas, the hot frontman of The Jonas Brothers. (I'm guessing they didn't have the budget to book all three band members for this episode.) Will the chef'testants with kids excel at this challenge? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the only chefs with little ones are Antonia, Angelo and Richard. Or will Ceveech's (Jennifer) "give 'em fancy adult food" tactic win over Joe's taste buds?
We also get to see that Angry Dale's level of d-baggery is steadily on the rise as he decides to hog all of the sugar at his work station. !ESCANDALO!
