After an unannounced hiatus, Top Chef: All-Stars is back for another episode of culinary badassery.
Tonight, the chefs are cooking Italian cuisine for the Elimination Challenge and it looks like different teams are responsible for the different courses. They also seem to be cooking for some well-known chefs, as well as actors who have been in Italian/mobster themed movies (because they're authorities on Italian cuisine – duh!), like Lorraine Bracco, who starred in Goodfellas and The Sopranos.
Preview video highlights:
- There's lots of talk about Tre's risotto in the first clip. Antonia doesn't think every grain of rice was toasted, hinting that she doesn't think his infamous risotto cooking skills are up to par. SCANDALO! Do I smell failed risotto foreshadowing?
- Jersey Mike thinks he's a favorite for some reason because he's Italian. No, Mike, you're our favorite to go home next.
- Lorraine Bracco makes some food/cooking/mother analogy in the second preview clip that I don't quite get or understand why they included in the preview. Are the chefs' moms going to show up or something? Non lo so.
