Tonight's challenges on Top Chef: D.C. revisit some classic ones from previous seasons — and thank goodness, they're somewhat "normal" again this week. It also looks like Michelle Bernstein is back again this season acting as guest judge.
For the Quickfire, it's the old' "crazy proteins" challenge. The chef'testants must choose from an array of interesting culinary delights such as emu eggs, snake, and duck tongue to create their dishes. I find it humorous that Angelo picks the duck white kidneys which, unbeknownst to him until he is later told, are duck testicles. Coincidence?
We also get to see a different, darker side of the Tamesha tonight. In the preview video below, she's talking smack about Amanda ("Leah 2") to the producers and states that she could "strangle her in a heartbeat". Creepy. Maybe Angelo's brainwashing job on her is working. Amanda might want to sleep with one eye open from now on.
Personally, I think Amanda's days are numbered, seeing as her peers can't stand her and the judges haven't been to keen on most of her dishes lately, and tonight just might be her exit (in one way or another).
