On the newest episode of Top Chef: Just Desserts, the chef'testants had to draw cookies to see what teams they would be on for the Quickfire and, magically, Team Go Diva was once again back together. The pastry mise en place relay race was quite entertaining. Seeing Morgan smugly hold stiff egg whites over his head and all of the strudel dough pulling innuendos made my night. The Divas ended up taking the win and the $3k for completing their strudel dough in the last leg of the challenge.
"Dessert Wars: Pastry Shop Challenge" was the theme for the Elimination Challenge. Each team had to set up a display case of nine desserts, one being a bread and two being prepared a la minute back in the kitchen, and serve them to guests in their dining rooms. Both teams had hits and misses, but Team Go Diva's sparse-looking dessert case and hard-as-a-rock pie dough (thanks to Heather) put them on the chopping block. I think all of us live tweeting the show last night were biting our nails in anticipation as to who would be cut. Would it be zany but lovable Zac? Yigit whom we love so well (especially with his shirt off)? Or would it be that mean old snake Heather? (You can probably guess my pick.)
