If you’ve been exploring downtown St. Petersburg lately, you’ll notice that the vibe is a little off. Bars are closed, masks are on and there’s way more street parking than usual. During this downtime, the former Caddy’s On Central space at 217 Central Ave. finds itself under construction.
Two different concepts are coming along within the space: The Brickyard and Pizza N’ Brew. Segreti Hospitality Group, known for a handful of concepts throughout Sarasota, is behind the build.
According to St. Pete Rising, The Brickyard is a tentative name for the full-service restaurant that will be stationed within the 8,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor patio space. Pizza N’ Brew, however, will be housed within the smaller adjacent unit where it’ll serve New York-style ‘za by the slice and entire pie. This will be the pizzeria’s second location (the first is in Sarasota).
The Brickyard’s menu showcases traditional American cuisine; it includes small plates like wings, quesadillas, ribs, tacos, and sandos. Paying homage to its predecessor, the resto also plans on regularly hosting live music.
Both concepts expect to debut this December. More details to come as construction continues and the opening date approaches.
