I love asparagus so much, you could almost say I'm addicted. But I'd draw the line at ingesting one of my favorite vegetables through my nose.
Using the science of molecular gastronomy, UK-based caterers Bubble Foods recently served their off-white powdered creation to a group of designers (how fitting) at a banquet dinner party. It was plated on small mirrors and arranged in lines with rolled up bills on the side. Obviously, diners got the hint that it was to be snorted.
And at about $80 per gram, by some estimates it's just as expensive as real cocaine.
