To experience the vineyards and hills of Tuscany, you needn't catch a plane. Chef Ken Tufo of Sea Salt has planned his next cooking class, scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, around the picturesque Italian region — and the best part is that participants don't have to leave the downtown St. Pete restaurant's dining room.
Panzanella insalata di salmone (Italian bread and tomato salad, a most classic mashup), maiale tonnato (the traditional northern Italian dish with pork) and setta insalata di fagioli (a seven-bean salad) are on the three-course menu, which is modeled after a Tuscan summer lunch.
Tickets to the class cost $35 and include instruction, lunch and a glass of wine, beer or soft drink.
Reservations are mandatory, so be sure to give Sea Salt a call.
