Hard Rock Cafe turns 47 next month. In honor of the music-themed American restaurant chain’s anniversary, the Tampa location inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will feature its Original Legendary Burger for 71 cents from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 14.

Offered on a first-come-first-served basis and served with seasoned fries, the burger sandwiches a half-pound Angus beef patty, smoked bacon, Cheddar, a fried onion ring, crisp lettuce and vine-ripened tomato between a toasted brioche bun.

The founders of Hard Rock — two music-loving Americans — were in search of a good burger while living in London when they dreamed up their vision for the restaurant. A one-of-a-kind mashup of rock ‘n’ roll music, memorabilia and all-American fare, the first Hard Rock Cafe opened in 1971 as an American-style diner in an old Rolls Royce dealership.

Alongside the deeply discounted Legendary Burger, Hard Rock Cafe Tampa also plans to celebrate the chain’s genesis with a ’70s birthday party, where Disco Inferno will perform two sets — one at 7 p.m. and another at 8:30 p.m. Guests are urged to don their finest disco-era clothes.
