Oh, you didn't have Wawa Day on your calendar? Here's a quick rundown: In honor of its 54th anniversary, the fiercely loved chain of convenience stores is giving away free coffee on Thursday.
Unlimited free coffee, which means customers can stop by their nearest location now, later in the afternoon when another caffeine boost is calling, and maybe even on the way home from work. Hey, commuting sucks, and Wawa wants you to go all in for its birthday.
No, guests can't order something fancy from the coffee bar on the house, as the all-day offer is only valid for self-serve coffee. But they can fill up any cup, regardless of the size, with complimentary java — no purchase or coupon required.
This year, the chain, which opened its first store in April 1964, expects to churn out two million free cups of coffee during the annual celebration.
Wawa operates more than 790 locations across Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The Sunshine State's 100th store — located in Brandon — made its launch official with a grand opening back in 2016.
