Whether you’re craving smoked sausage in the morning or beef jerky at 3 a.m. The Boozy Pig’s new “Meat Machine” is making sure you have access to meat any time you’re in the mood.
Seriously, it’s a meat vending machine. It allows the butchery to sustain its “whole animal butchery ethos,” according to an Instagram post, while feeding Tampa the shop’s ever fresh meat selections. Inside are steaks, ground, burgers, fresh and smoked sausages, bacon and even beef jerky. It’s a contact-free, after-hours alternative to the offerings you can always find inside.
The family-owned butchery, located at 3255 W Cypress St. near the Oakford Park neighborhood, has become known for its eclectic offerings in the three years since its opening, though, and the Meat Machine is no exception.
Inside the shop, you’ll also find tallow butter, elderberry syrup and an entire case filled with any fresh cut your heart desires. If you’re not in the mood to cook, you can grab an entree for dine-in or carry-out (we recommend the smoked chicken poutine). If you think you haven’t had The Boozy Pig’s fresh cuts, though, you’re probably wrong.
Boozy Pig started as Tambuzzo Sausage Company and has been the meat plug for local eateries like La Segunda and Empamamas with house-made links for years.
