Two holidays, World Oceans Day and Nurse Appreciation Day, have prompted food promotions in the Bay area Wednesday.

For World Oceans Day, Tampa's Florida Aquarium joined forces with GrillSmith to showcase Seafood Now, the aquarium's sustainable seafood program that works closely with local eateries and retailers to provide safe and sustainably sourced seafood.

GrillSmith's four restaurants in Carrollwood, Clearwater, New Tampa and Lakeland (if you're up for a drive) — which open at 11 a.m. daily — will feature a limited menu of sustainable seafood options throughout the holiday. Entrees like pan-seared trout piccata and a macadamia nut-crusted daybooat catch are planned.

Ten percent of the menu's sales will go to The Florida Aquarium, and diners who order from it should bring their receipts to the aquarium ticket booth through June 30 to receive $5 off admission.

In celebration of Nurse Appreciation Day, Chipotle Mexican Grill locations in the U.S. and Canada are set to highlight a buy one, get one deal for nurses from 3 p.m. to close Wednesday.

By presenting a nursing license or nurse ID, everyone from registered nurses to licensed vocational nurses may land a complimentary burrito, salad, burrito bowl or order of tacos at their nearest Chipotle. The offer, limited to one free menu item per ID, is only valid in store and with the purchase of another item.
