Very important whiskey announcement: More than 200 kinds from around the globe are headed for the upcoming Whiskey Tampa Foxtrot. Never heard of it? That's because it's an inaugural event put on by the Epicurean Hotel and Bern's Steak House, a SoHo duo known for their wine and spirits.
Hosted from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Epicurean, the new festival mixes a casual, world-class sampling with food and education. Industry experts lead informational seminars on topics like Japanese whisky, while complementary bites from local restaurants accompany the tasting. Participating eateries include Rooster & the Till, Locale Market and Parkshore Grill, plus other members of the Bern's family (Haven and Élevage, ahem).
Although VIP tickets are unfortunately sold out, general admission is still available for purchase online. WTFoxtrotters can also gain access to either one of the scheduled seminars with a $20 ticket add-on.
And if — for some weird reason — you still need more convincing, take a look at the ridiculously stacked whiskey list. Seriously.
