It didn't take long for Xtreme Tacos to win the hearts of the local dining scene. After opening in early 2017, the Tampa taqueria quickly gained a cult-like following for irresistible taco fillings like Sriracha cauliflower and carnitas, as well as the Best of the Bay-winning Stoner Burrito — not to mention friendly staff.

But, alas, Xtreme Tacos has decided to close its brick-and-mortar location at 310 E. Waters Ave.

"We have had multiple issues with our landlord and the building that we currently reside in, and unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision to no longer operate in this building 😢," reads a small portion of the Facebook post from Xtreme Tacos on March 29. "This hurts a lot, but this is not the end!"

That's because the restaurant recently started operating out of its bright red food truck, which rolled out a couple of months ago. Featuring steady hours and the full Mexican-American menu (think tacos, burritos, bowls and nachos), Xtreme Tacos plans to set up shop at neighborhood destinations like 7venth Sun Brewery and c.1949 until it finds a new permanent home.

Hungry folks who are accustomed to placing orders for takeout can still do so by calling the phone number Xtreme Tacos used at its former location. To stay in the loop on updates, diners should probably also follow the restaurant's Facebook page. Just sayin'.
