The madness of the pandemic and CDC regulations have kept other breweries from opening their taprooms unless they switch to a restaurant license, but Coppertail Brewing Co.—which had a mighty fine restaurant operation working inside well before the coronavirus arrived—is celebrating its six-year anniversary in a big way.
This Friday, August 28, Coppertail is releasing a special four-pack in its taproom—both on draft and in can. The four-pack is made of three hazy IPAs that were voted on by the brewery’s cult following: Hop Skulls no. 3, no. 5, and no. 11.
The fourth beer in the 4-pack will be the Sixth Anniversary Hop Skull Triple IPA. This hazy IPA comes in at 10.5% and features Chinook, citra, loral, and bravo hops with the brewery’s house haze strain. According to a release, the tripel IPA has “huge” notes of citrus, apricot, and pineapple with a sizable malt backbone. Coppertail claims that these ingredients make the anniversary beer the juiciest IPA it’s ever made.
“It feels great when you hit those milestones and the whole team wants to get together and celebrate,” Kent Bailey, Coppertail President wrote in a release. “This is the best way we could think of to celebrate that milestone and still keep everyone involved.”
You can also snag the Anniversary Hop Skull in a stand-alone 4-pack. By the way, all you craft beer enthusiasts, commemorative shirts and glassware are available for purchase as well as a gift pack containing a shirt, two glasses, a mixed 4-pack and two free beer tokens.
Coppertail Brewing Co. is located at 2601 E. 2nd Ave. in Ybor City.
