Ybor City’s Coppertail Brewing Co. will reopen its taproom doors to the public on Friday, May 22 at 11 a.m.

Krystin Olinski, a PR rep for the brewery and restaurant located at 2601 E. 2nd Ave. in Ybor City, told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that Coppertail is limiting its capacity to 18%, which is just 64 people.

Coppertail, like other restaurants in Florida, is allowed to operate at 50% under Gov. Ron DeSantis’ “Full Phase One” reopening orders, but Olinski said ownership feels more comfortable with 18% occupancy.

A press release says Coppertail’s other strict reopening guidelines include:

  • Table service only, with no bar service other than picking up to-go orders
  • Hand sanitizer stations throughout the brewery
  • Regular disinfection of restrooms and dining areas
  • Guests escorted to a table by a host
  • Masks or facial coverings worn by staff while interacting with others
  • Credit card only payments, no cash accepted

The brewery’s new, updated hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sun.-Thu. and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Fri.-Sat.
