Fourteen-year-old, Clearwater-based Texas-style swing five-piece 6 Volt Rodeo takes its influence from the big band sounds of the ‘30s and ‘40s (Benny Goodman, King Cole) as well as those who stayed mainstream in the honky-tonk sections of the decades to follow (Buck Owens, Ernest Tubb).

According to a bio, a handful of lineup changes over the years has allowed 6 Volt to expand its sound with elements of “Dixieland and gypsy jazz, Cajun two-step, and even Mexican mariachi music.” If you’re craving something as eclectic, this divey neighborhood favorite is where you’ll wanna be.

There’s no cover to see 6 Volt Rodeo play Bauser’s in Dunedin on Saturday March 30.
