It took well over a decade of soul-searching and experience, but last spring, Adrian Younge finally gave the world Something About April III, a trilogy-concluding album he says encapsulates so many things he wanted to accomplish while still a fresh-face to the studio.

With a little help from singer-songwriter Cรฉuhe, the 47-year-old with a long history of playing the Bay area enlisted a 30-piece orchestra and an all-Brazilian choir to piece together the psychedelic, all-Portuguese experiment.

While thereโ€™s no telling if Younge is quietly working on any new jazz material with A Tribe Called Questโ€™s Ali Shaheed Muhammad, heโ€™s back to usher in this next era with a 10-piece orchestra on hand, and local โ€œinstrumental cinematic psych grooveโ€ favorite Soft Cuff opening.

Tickets to see Adrian Younge play Bayboro Brewing in St. Petersburg on Friday, June 27 are still available for $29.67.
