Its sound is generally pretty bass-heavy and low-key. Take the band’s Moment of Truth album, for instance. Basically, imagine Johnny Cash’s With His Hot and Blue Guitar, just mostly leaning on an acoustic bass, minus a few electric numbers.
The Strays, fresh off a set at Ft. Lauderdale’s Tortuga Music Festival, comes to Tampa this weekend, and if you’re expecting to get down to music about the heartbreak of your tractor breaking down while you’re slurping a Bud Light (oh, sorry: Jack Daniels), you’re gonna be disappointed.
