The Original Wailers are coming to town, and while music fans all know that Bob Marley is long gone, seeing “The Wailers” on a bill is always confusing.

This is a PSA letting you know that this iteration coming to Jannus Live over the weekend is the one featuring Al Anderson who is credited with playing lead guitar on Marley’s 1974 album, Natty Dread and 1975’s landmark Live! album. Anderson was absent from Rasta Revolution and 1977’s megahit Exodus, but he returned to the liner notes for another revolutionary live album, Babylon By Bus, which was released in ‘78.

The Original Wailers w/The HeadTones/Badda Skat Band. Sat. May 18, 7 p.m.. $20. Jannus Live, St. Petersburg. jannuslive.com.
