Americana fans, tonight in live music is a doozy for you with a pair of shows dominating the Thursday in live music. Go ahead and feel your way around it all below — just don't grab us there.

If you're headed out to see Parker Millsap and Sarah Jarosz, then please make sure to read and share our interview with the pair, which you can see right here.

Parker Millsap w/Sarah Jarosz What happens when a Grammy-nominated picker schooled in mandolin, guitar and banjo teams up with one of the most exciting new voices in Americana for a co-headlining tour? Nobody knows yet since Sarah Jarosz (the picker) and Parker Millsap (oh man, that voice) just kicked off the tour last Friday in Tennessee.

Expect Millsap (not related to Ronnie, who actually spells his last name with one less “L”) to perform a ton from his latest LP, The Very Last Day (released in March), where he teamed up with Grammy-winning engineer Gary Paczosa (John Prine, Alison Krauss and Dolly Parton are happy clients) for a powerful album rich in character-driven narratives and floor shaking vocals. Jarosz appears on “Heaven Sent” from that album, and expect her to join Millsap on stage at this show where she appears in support of her own latest effort, Undercurrent, which is enjoying heaps of unanimous critical praise from seemingly everyone including NPR, American Songwriter and the Boston Globe.

Gravel Kings w/American Song Box/Michael Snayd Zack Jones, frontman for Fort Pierce Americana outfit Gravel Kings feels like his band sticks out like a sore thumb because of South Florida’s club scene. We’re not sure how true that is considering the bevy of good guitar-based folk acts down there, but Jones & co. will feel at home at New World Brewery, whose patio hosts some of the biggest names in folk and Americana week in and week out.
