Something really special is happening in the south side of Ybor City, and Sundé is at the helm.

The soul and pop songwriter is a performer and curator of the vibe in the backyard of Nana’s during “Sunroom Sessions,” a DIY concert and hang featuring some of the brightest and best young musicians in Tampa Bay.

This weekend, a supergroup of sorts—Rejuvenation featuring bassist Giancarlo Yanes-Martinez, guitarist Peter Mongaya Hogsholm, drummer E.J Mitchell, saxophonist-producer Nick Bredal and others—plays and opens up the mic ahead of a women’s song circle and improv from vocalists, poets and soloists.

A market with vegan soul food kicks off at 5 p.m., with music starting an hour later.

Ybor City’s Sunroom Sessions in the backyard of Nana’s Restaurant and Juice Bar happens on Saturday, Jan. 14—there’s a $20 suggested donation, and it’s BYOB.
