It may seem long overdue, but Arcade Fire is finally coming to Tampa.

The Canadian alternative rockers have announced a September 22 show at the USF Sun Dome. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 9 at 10 a.m., and will cost fans $35-$75. Wolf Parade plays support, and a special Citi card presale starts on Tuesday, June 6.

Rabid fans of the band have been clamoring for the opportunity to see it in the Bay area for years. In 2016, they were teased with an appearance by frontman Win Butler at Florida's Okeechobee Music Festival, but that's as close as Arcade Fire has come to playing Tampa Bay.

For those not familiar with them, this rare Tampa Bay appearance is a can't miss opportunity to see the band who won Album of the Year at the 2011 Grammys. Each member of the officially seven member band exhibits plurality in their musical talent, with each jumping around multiple instruments throughout their show. Tie that in with the fact that it rarely tours the Sunshine State, and what you have is a very compelling show.

Physical copies of Everything Now will include CD, cassette, and heavyweight black vinyl LP with 20 different artwork variants bearing the album title in one of 20 different languages. There will also be a limited exclusive “Night” packaging of both CD and colored vinyl LP formats. The new album is Arcade Fire’s first release under its new partnership with the global media and e-commerce platform Everything Now in synergy with the Sony Corporation.

Call your local record store to see if they'll carry the release. Get more information on the show via local.cltampa.com.
