It’s been seven years since the folk-punk outfit once known as Andrew Jackson Jihad shortened its name to just its initials, out of respect for people of Islamic faith. The band’s latest album Disposable Everything questions where the hell morals have gone, and gives a middle finger to rock and roll music and its “insipid lyrics and boring riffs.”

If you agree—or just like the possible tongue-and-cheek aspect of it—Sean Bonnette and friends’ first gig in Tampa since 2018 will be supported by L.A.-based alt-emo-punk outfit Sad Park, and Portland’s own “broken folk” project, Foot Ox.

Tickets to see AJJ, Sad Park, and Foot Ox play Tampa’s Orpheum on Friday, Oct. 13 are still available and cost $23.
