It looks like founding members Felix Riebl and Ollie McGill are adjusting to a new repertoire in The Cat Empire. Twenty years following the release of its debut album, the Australian funk band is fresh off of a massive lineup change, and a new album, Where The Angels Fall, with songs about robbing a store, a love for thunder, and all the upbeat horns you could want. The group’s first U.S. tour since 2019 kicks off with three dates in Florida—where it has never been before.

Tickets to see The Cat Empire play St. Pete’s Jannus Live on Friday, Oct. 20 are still available and cost $34.50.
