In case you missed it, Big Boi is back.

UPDATE NO. 2: Big Boi has announced that he'll be opening Christina Aguilera's November 13 show at Mahaffey Theater

UPDATE: Big Boi's May 24 show at The Ritz has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Also cancelled was the rapper's May 26 concert in Ft. Lauderdale. Refunds are available at point of purchase. The good news is that you can still see him in Pensacola (May 21 at Vinyl Music Hall), Orlando (May 23 at The Beacham), Ft. Pierce (May 25 at The Inlet) and Jacksonville (May 28 at 1904 Music Hall).

The Outkast emcee released a new album last year, and now the third leg of his Daddy Fat Saxxx Tour is headed to Ybor City for a show at The Ritz on May 24. It's Mr Boi's first Bay area appearance since he headlined the 2016 edition of onBikes' Winter Wonder Ride.

In other Ritz-related news, CHON — a group of next-generation prog-rock hot boyz — is headed to Ybor City for its own headlining show on June 2. The group last played the same room as support for Thrice in November, and last headlined a show here in June when it sold-out Orpheum. We're willing to bet this one will get close to sold-out, too. Polyphia, TTNG andTricot play support.

Tickets are $20-$25 and go on sale Friday, March 8 at 12 p.m. More information is available via local.cltampa.com.
