On Monday, the Tampa Bay Lightning take to the Hillsborough River for a Stanley Cup championship boat parade that’ll go from Davis Islands to Rick’s on the River before eventually finding the team at downtown Tampa’s Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park.

That party at Julian B. Lane—which kicks off at 2 p.m.—will be soundtracked in part by Outkast’s Big Boi who’ll take the stage along with Sarasota native Vo Williams, whose song “Ready Set” is part of the Bolts’ pre-puck drop hype music.

The celebration is free to attend, but no outside coolers or chairs will be allowed at Julian B. Lane, located at 1001 N Blvd. If you can’t catch the celebration in person, Spectrum Bay News 9 is covering all of it live starting at 11 a.m.

Big Boi is no stranger to the waterfront in downtown Tampa, where he last played in 2016 as part of the Winter Wonder Ride, and while this booking is definitely cooler than a polar bear’s toenails, I’m still holding out hope that Tampa rapper Jinx will show up and play “We Want the Cup!”
