Last Tuesday, just weeks after a farewell concert, Ozzy Osbourne died at the age of 76. Tributes are pouring in from every corner of the Bay area, with local jazz composers sharing selfies and media reps telling stories about how the Prince of Darkness was really just a big teddy bear.

As it happens, a local venue is hosting a Black Sabbath tribute this weekend.

“While we are all very sad to hear the news, one thing of comfort is that he had his one last moment on stage doing what he loved best, surrounded by those that loved him most,” Snowblind—which is devoted to the early days of the band with Osbourne at the front of eight incredible albumswrote in a message to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay.

“And all we can do in his honor and in that spirit is to get up on Saturday prepared to deliver the best show we can and hope it brings some solace to the audience as we all grieve together.”

There’s no cover to see the Snowblind Black Sabbath Tribute at Dunedin Brewery in Dunedin on Saturday, July 26.
