It’s time to come clean: I love the Grateful Dead. So when the Brokenmold boys announced their first ticketed show in months, Grass is Dead, a bluegrass Grateful Dead tribute at Crowbar Saturday night, I rejoiced. Bluegrass plus the Dead equals a jam overload, in the best way possible. And if you’re in the Deadhead closet, the show’s limited to 100 tickets with a mask requirement so no one will have to know who you are anyways. For me, I’d proudly hippy dance to a bluegrass cover of “Ripple.” Keep in mind there’s a separate early show with a different band booked for 7 p.m.
