Blues singer and guitarist Ana Popović is playing two shows at the whimsical Safety Harbor Arts and Music Center (SHAMc).
She was last in town for 2017’s Tampa Blues Fest where she was the most anticipated act of the weekend, playing just before Buddy Guy. I guess she gave a good impression because both shows at SHAMc are sold-out–though you can put your name on the waiting list if you missed out on tickets.
Twenty years ago, the sultry Serbian-born Popovic gave up a career as a graphic designer to focus on music and it looks like she made the right decision. SHAMc is still politely asking for its guests to wear a mask and stay home if they’re sick. (Safety Harbor Arts and Music Center, Safety Harbor)
