If you’ve been to any karaoke bar on either side of the Mason-Dixon since the mid-’90s, you know at least one of country megastars Brooks & Dunn’s hits (most likely “Neon Moon” though some of you are more likely to do the “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”)

The Nashville duo (pictured) is in town Friday with “American Idol” contestant Elvie Shane opening.

A COVID-19 health check is required by the “event organizer” upon entry, which means show a negative test (taken 72-hours prior to the show) or your vaccination card.

The evening’s other opener, Travis Tritt, quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a statement where he said vaccination mandates are a “form of discrimination” but, alas, the injustice didn’t shake Tritt’s principles enough to make him drop off the show, so he’s still on the bill.

Brooks & Dunn w/Travis Tritt/Elvie Shane. Friday, Oct. 8, 7 p.m.  $44.25-$359.25. MidFlorida Credit Amphitheatre, Tampa. livenation.com
