The Orange Blossom Jamboree folks are once again back putting the jam (band) in Jamboree with a long-weekend full of juicy goodness, with camping to boot.
The fest starts with alternative-rock by Riverview’s Lucid Wake Thursday afternoon and ends with Bay area funk-outfit The Black Honkeys on Sunday just before sunset. There’s three stages full of a variety of music, some not even that jammy, like the Seminole Heights’ hip-hop act GoldenEra (pictured) playing Friday and Plant City indie-rock duo Oxford Noland playing Saturday, both on the Clementine Stage.
Besides music, there are yoga, songwriting, tai chi and other classes, plus a stacked activity schedule in “Kid Row” for the wee ones. Tickets come with primitive camping spots—all the electric hookup options are sold out.
And though COVID-19 rules in Florida are dwindling away, there are still a few in place at the outside festival. Masks are only required when checking in though they are recommended when in close proximity of people not in your group. If you are concerned with social distancing, you can request a special pink wristband that lets people know you want your space. Temperature checks will also happen upon arrival, and OBJ is asking you not to share drinks, cigarettes or “etc.”—so puff, puff, don’t pass.
