Alabama’s Carver Commodore (pictured) brings a soon-to-be released second LP Welcome to the Modern World to downtown Tampa’s West River district on Saturday night. If the rest of the album is anything like the single “Misty Eyes,” we’re in for a real upbeat indie-rock treat.

Charleston indie-rock outfit Whitehall joins Commodore on tour, with St. Pete’s Jordan Esker & the Hundred Percent opening the local all-ages show. (If you’re under 18, you can come but you have to have a guardian.)

Carver Commodore w/Whitehall/Jordan Esker & the Hundred Percent. Saturday, Oct. 16, 8 p.m. $10-$13. Hooch and Hive, Tampa. brokenmoldentertainment.com
