It’s been 30 years since Smoking Popes thought it was Born To Quit. But the Chicago punk legend is still on the road celebrating its landmark album and playing songs from a new record with a lovely name.

“Calling this album Lovely Stuff felt right because it says something about where our heads are at right now,” lead singer and songwriter Josh Caterer wrote in a press release. “I wouldn’t exactly say we’re optimistic, but we’re at least determined to keep moving forward, to keep finding what is lovely in an unlovely world.”

Tickets to see Smoking Popes play Tampa Orpheum on Thursday, March 6 are still available for $20.
