Chris Brown’s latest fracas — an early Monday assault on a Tampa photographer — was a stain on an otherwise uncontroversial (and unfortunately under attended) show at Amalie Arena on Easter night. It also was a reminder that Brown is a troubled soul who continues to get a pass every time he threatens to — and actually — put his hands on someone.

Photographer punch, April 2017 Brown allegedly punched a house photographer at Aja nightclub in downtown Tampa’s Channelside District. Charges have been filed, and the club has apologized to its patrons.
Standoff with LAPD, August 2016 A woman accused Brown of threatening her with gun, which unfolded into a stand-off between Brown and the Los Angeles Police Department. Brown was detained.
Alleged attack on manager, May 2016 Nancy Ghosh, Brown’s former tour manager claimed that he threatened her in with attack that was similar to the one Brown carried out on his former manager Mike G.
Punching a woman in Vegas, January 2016 A woman accused brown of taking her phone at a Las Vegas nightclub and punching her in the face. Apparently she was trying to take a picture with him.
Kicking a woman off his tour bus, September 2015 Once again, a woman would not surrender her cell phone, so Brown forcibly kicked her off a tour bus in Colorado.
Orange County nightclub altercation, June 2013 Deanna Gines says Brown shoved her into the ground at an Orange County nightclub.
Miami Beach phone theft, February 2012 Once again, your boy took a phone after catching Christal Shane Spann trying to take a picture of him. Apparently he didn’t want anything getting leaked to the tabloids. Whoops.
Window breaking at Good Morning America, March 2011 Robin Roberts asked Brown about his domestic abuse case, which apparently pissed him off enough to make him storm off stage and break a window in his dressing room.
Rihanna abuse, February 2009 The beginning of it all. A pre-Grammy altercation with his then-girlfriend Rihanna exploded into an assault that left the singer bruised and hospitalized.
