Two previously released tracks from the new album by Johnny Mile and the Kilometers are an extension of the blue-collar rock and roll the St. Pete-based trio put out on 2016's Can't We Just Rock, but now the band has released a new song that ups the ante on the doo-wop from "As Long As You Want It" while amplifying the easy-going boogie on "Been A Minute."

"Can't Get A Break" chugs along a little harder than those previously heard selections and is the penultimate track on the band's new album, Working Class Cool. The effort — set for release on December 20 — was self-recorded by the band and then touched up with a Califone cassette recorder and Zoom handy recorder when necessary. Guitarist Gino Capone mastered the release, and while "Can't Get A Break" seems like a hard-luck tale, the band actually caught a big one when someone turned in a bass guitar that was stolen from a band member's truck after an October gig at The Bends.

"Chris' bass has been recovered and returned," the band confirmed in an email, "though it won't be mentioned who found it and where."

The band's next show will be an Orlando tour-sendoff for The Woolly Bushmen on January 5, and you can listen to "Can't Get A Break" below.
